Is that its first showing on Australian TV since restoration? The DVD is extremely good and it makes the washed out smeary copies of Outback that were in circulation look absolute rubbish. Suddenly the film comes alive again with the proper colour pallette. It's only had one showing here in the UK (at the Barbican, not on TV) and the only DVD is the region 4 release. Still, it is a film I very much treasure and yes, it is one which needs to be shown without commercial breaks.
