I've heard Tommy called many things, but boring?

Not to mention the 'Lord Of The Rings' trilogy.

I tried to get into it....really!....but I failed. For me it was like watching paint dry.

Surely the most boring film in the entire world must be 'Blue' - Derek Jarman.
The screen was blue for 90 minutes with boring dialogue!
Art-house gone mad?

Boring...practically anything by Peter Greenaway.

I am so glad you say that! I went with my family and was in disgrace because I fell asleep (literally) after an hour. I wasn't allowed to go to the next one for that reason- quite a relief. Mind you, I never liked the books either, and at least the film did not have GHASTLY Tom Bombadil. Ian Holm was good though.

"I've come a long way you know!" "Equally long way to go back..."

Has anyone seen My Dinner With Andre,a two hander with Wallace Shawn and Andre Greogry, directed by Louis Malle. It is about two men having dinner....er that's it.

PS Reminds me of quip I heard yesterday. "I once had dinner with a chess player. It took him twenty minutes to pass me the salt".

I am special. The heavens always open for me.

Zabriskie Point - until the last 5 minutes
2001 - A Space Odessey - great SE's and camera work, but some scenes are intensely boring

So I presume you've never bothered with 2010 then?

Did anyone see Attonment yet what a boring horrible film not sure how it won awards i had more enjoyment watching paint dry. As for Harry Potter i would take my life in my hands to say they were boring as my daughter is their biggest fan although i think its Daniel Radcliffe that she's more keen on God help her wit Return to Salems lot also a stupid film.

Live each day to the full because one day it will be your last.

I've fallen asleep every time I've tried to watch Zardoz. Drifted off during the interminable Reversal of Fortune.

Also fell asleep during a revival of Get Carter, but that wasn't because the film was dull, it was because me and my mate had a pint too many in the bar beforehand!

Actually in some ways I prefer 2010 - it is overlong, but is often lifted by the appearance of the late great Roy Schieder. As long as you do not presume it to be a sequel by Kubrick it is an ok sci fi flick

More or less agree, most films directed by Jarman and Greenaway were generally a load of tosh. However, quite liked The Tempest and Prospero's Books.

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.
