I thought the idea of taking part in a quiz is too enjoy it, not to have have someone gloating about how clever they think they are.

Watched Zarak (1956) for the first time(s) over the weekend.

Patrick McGoohan (as Moor Larkin) advises his new 'Political Officer' (Michael Wilding) that the best way to negotiate with the locals on the NorthWest Frontier is to:

"Burn their villages and fine their men"

From Fatal Instinct...that great Carl Reiner spoof.

I'm gonna put these two fingers in his eyes, this finger in his mouth, and use his head for a friggin' bowling ball!

Maybe macho isn't the right word, but pretty tough broads.

Where's the Stanley Baker quotes from the seedy streets?

What about all those Brit war films? There must be dozens of worthy quotes.

Some of these (see above) are more "Macho macho Man" as envisioned by Sinitta than macho.

Bet Davis and Babs Stanwyck probably cornered the market for the women, for the Yanks, but I reckon our men can give any American man a run for his money.

There must have been some tough Brit women though. I seem to recall Richard Harris having a tough time with his rugby nemesis...... but I have a feeling she was French anyhow.

I vaguely remember Sylvia Syms had a couple of good lines in The Quare Fellow (1962) but I'll have to watch it again to remember them.

....... You're only supposed to blow the bloody doors off

I always liked these lines in the remake of Mutiny on the Bounty ...

Christian (after punching Bligh in the gob): You bloody bastard, you'll not put your foot on me again

Bligh (getting up nursing his lip): Thank you, I've been looking for something to take the strut out of you, you posturing snob

Already mentioned but I guess 'Deliverance' must be among the Machoist of Movies?, Stuff like 'Rambo', and Dolph Lundgren movies I'd call 'Comic strip' more than anything!

Link to the 'memorable quotes'........seems quite a few!

Deliverance (1972) - Memorable quotes

Not as good as Bill Bixby in The Incredible Hulk ...

Don't make me angry, you won't like me when I'm angry

Or Ollie Reed in The Big Sleep ...

I'm nice to be nice to, but not nice, not to be nice to

"Why if you were a man I'd break your neck for that" from Rhett Butler is probably as macho as it gets in my book, but is that a good thing or a bad thing ?
