Default Most Macho Line in a Film

While watching the old Ray Harryhausen classic The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms earlier today with The Boy Wonder, I was amused by a line spoken by the great Lee Van Cleef ....

Scientist: (handing a rifle to soldier Van Cleef) Do you know how to use a grenade rifle?
Van Cleef: I pick my teeth with them!

One from several years ago that I liked was said by Chuck Norris in Code of Silence ....

Thug: You'd better not come in here
Norris: If I want your opinion I'll beat it out of you

Another Norris classic from the same film ....

Pick a window, you're leaving

I keep trying to think of similar lines in British movies but haven't come up with any as yet. Perhaps that sort of macho posturing is reserved for the Yanks.

Any suggestions?

In fact, the line "When I want your opinion, I'll thrash it out of you," is delivered by Trevor Howard in Sir Henry At Rawlinson End, made in Britain 5 years earlier than Code Of Silence.

. . . and new thumbscrews for me . . .

Which gives us the delicious possibility that Chuck Norris is a closet Viv Stanshall fan....

Excellent! I'm glad about that .... it's a great line and that Trev said it first makes it even better. Norris used it again in one of his Walker:Texas Ranger TV movies.

One up to the Brits!

You know this is surreal and ironic - if you look at this still without playing it - it looks like Tony Blair and Gordon Brown - pity they never had any meetings on the top floor of a car park....

Surely most macho line is:

"I'd like to strap you on sometime, bigboy!"

Said by Edie Williams in that wonderful Russ Meyer classic - Beyond the Valley of the Dolls"

Can chicks be macho? Is there a female equivalent of macho? Feisty? Sassy? Linda Hamilton?

Lotte Lenya in From Russia with Love?

PS - What's happening with Connect 2 - too difficult perhaps?
