Passolini's Salo - 120 Days of Sodom, not British I know but I would struggle to watch this one again even though I think it is an excellent film, still never say never I see Criterion are releasing it again so I might watch it again, who knows..

Also not British, but wouldn't want to sit through it again Jaques Tati's p"Paytime". I saw a lovely print at Lincoln Center, but by the time it was over I felt that I'd been in it !

The Bridge on the River Kwai - stunning and a great film, but so harrowing that I was exhausted at the end.
