Not me. Someone builds a sports stadium and some people come to play and to watch sports there? What's the big deal? I could understand him crying if nobody came

I watched Dead Man's Shoes for the first time tonight. Was alone which didn't help. Didn't cry but welled up/choked up at man's inhumanity to man.

I cry regularly at the best films. Sometimes because they're sad, sometimes because they make me so happy. It doesn't matter if I'm alone or not

IMHO Paddy Considine is a fine talent, not only as an actor but as a writer as well.
Never seems to be up there with other film 'stars', which is maybe the way he prefers it.

I have seen Paddy in Doctor Sleep, 24 Hour Party People, Hot Fuzz, Stoned and Bourne Ultimatum and think he is a fine actor. He has all the necessary requirements for a big career as long he chooses the right roles.

It is indeed enough to make strong men weep that Susan Kohner should give up a perfectly good job as a librarian to become a nightclub singer.

I always cry when I watch Secrets and Lies. Also Cathy Come Home- it is terrible that things were like that in my lifetime. The way she was treated put me in mind of Victorian times.

Cathy come home was too gut wrenching , too close to reality , not for me , found it stuck in the back of my mind for days.

The biggest actual weepy that I witnessed, on release, was the close of West Side Story with girls weeping all over the cinema. Love Story was another.

Of course not. It's about sports, and an American sport at that which I have no knowledge of or interest in.

Oh, I know there are other aspects to the story, but the sports aspect would bore me rigid

I forgot, that is another film that gets tears cascading down my cheeks. Somewhere is one of the most beautiful love songs ever written.
