Default What film part would you loved to have played

Out of any films , what parts could you see yourself fitting into or being able to carry off, Id hate an unhappy film, or one Id have to scream in, so Im not much of an actress am I . think it would have to be something fluffy, something like Pillow Talk or maybe The Belles of St Trinians.

You should be on BBC early evening Saturday!

I always fancied the Bob Hoskins part in Long Good Friday

The first role I was offered at school (aged 10) was Scrooge, I feel I am now growing into the part!

I always fancied playing the part of Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar, although I have a couple of reservations I dont fancy being hung and in the film version Carl Anderson who played the part was chased by tanks. He died a few years ago and Ted Neely who played Christ was absolutely sick making on the DVD commentary sucking up to Norman Jewison and paying gushing tribute to his mate Carl Anderson.

Some good people in that film though, Barry Dennen as Pilate and Josh Mostel(son of Zero) as King Herod.

Careful of what you say, it could be misinterpreted, as certain very senior members have pointed out.

My first part was in a church play, .. I was a foolish Virgin wearing a dressing gown with a zip . says it all eh? no wonder my name never got up there in lights. Id like to have played a gritty character , someone with attitude, someone like Stella Dallas would do me.

Well chaps, we've been dropped deep into the smelly stuff and we're in it up to our necks, but there's nothing that you or I can do about that. Some of you have only just arrived and others have been here a while and got to know some of the locals. We've got to go out and defend this god-forsaken little island and those locals against some people who think they can just walk in and take over. They've got a whole army coming so we don't expect to win this fight, but we won't just roll over for them.

But let's face up to the truth now. We're going to go out there and some of us may get hurt. Some may even die. Think about that now and get used to the idea. [long pause, looks around the room at each man] There'll be no time to waste thinking about that when you're out there.

And this won't be glorious, fighting for Queen and country or even fighting for the honour of the Marines. You're fighting to protect your mates and your friends.

Now, let's go out there and show these b*****ds that they can't walk all over us.
