I have and I don't. I've seen The Others, Cold Mountain, The Hours, and enough of Stepford Wives and, for my taste, wasn't impressed as I found her wooden. Nicole gets fairly frequent mentions on TV film news here as I'm sure you'd appreciate, but it does seem to be more about her private life than any serious review. I avoid celeb/gossip pages.

Don't know much about Duffy at all apart from what I've already stated. I assumed she was a stage school graduate but haven't looked in to it. Like you, happy for her to go for it. Seeing a photo and having heard her sing I'd say she'd be more suited than Kidman.

A few years ago there was a girl who won Stars In Their Eyes playing Dusty. She had her to a tee:the looks, the singing, everything. However, can she act?

I was looking at a colour photo of Dusty from 1965 yesterday and she looked very reminiscent of Nicole Kidman as Suzanne Stone, in the movie "To Die For", which I had watched the night before.

Pat and Madeline at this years Dusty day, auctioning one of Dusty's Blouses to raise funds for the Royal Marsden Hospital.......
