I wouldn't think so Captain (intelligent enough that is judging by the banal output of cinema most of the time!) but I still say that 'image on screen' matters to the selling of tickets and who really cares about their private lives
that may or would conflict with their screen image?

But clearly lots of people care about their private lives - including, I assume, everyone on these boards or we'd never read any biographies. As you say, image is on screen is what matters so there's absolutely no reason why someone now should feel obliged to hide their interest in knitting or macrame. But I don't get why people assume that the on-screen persona should reflect the off-screen reality - bit scary to be a fan of Christopher Lee or Vincent Price if that were really the case!

BTW, another famous embroiderer, though not an actor, is former TUC boss Norman Willis.

There's a lovely episode of The Simpsons where Homer's shirt gets mixed up with some non-fast coloureds in the wash and his shirts all come out pink.

Homer complains saying he's not popular enough or secure enough to wear a pink shirt. But he has to. Mr Burns sees him and assumes he's insane. That's the episode where he meets "Michael Jackson"

I have never been able to get into The Simpsons. My bro' in law and a couple of mates rave about it but it just passes me by. But then I like Bomba the Jungle Boy so what do I know!

You might like that one as it's set in your "office"
But how can you be a film fan and not like them? They're so full of film references and (IMO) very cleverly written

My Bro' in law has them all so I might give that one a look.

I am not really a great fan of cartoons. The only cartoons I ever really liked were the Fleischer's Superman series in the 40s and Transformers.

Someone doesn't like The Simpsons? I didn't believe such things were possible. *shakes head in disbelief*

John Mills was another celebrity snapper -didn't he have a book of photos published?

You can get the 'moving about' version on DVD as well.
