Hi.
I remember as a child during the school holidays queuing up to see Walt Disney's Cinderella at the Luxor cinema in Hemel Hempstead. A member of staff came out and allowed so many in. of course those who could not get in for that performance moaned. I remmber my mother did in particular, as two grown men were allowed in and a lot children were not. PS I did see it eventually.

I got turned away from a Burt Reynolds film when I was 17, I looked young for my age anyay, but I was wearing some patform shoes, I must have looked a bit like Fred Gwynne in the Munsters.

Donna, there is a website called cinema treasures which lists cinema past and present all around the world, its an American site, but you will be able to locate your old Odeon in Glasgow, there might even be a picture of it and you may be able to post a comment on the site.

The Theatres trust site which lists theatres past and present is another great site for theatre lovers.

1974. Went to see 'the flesh eaters' an 18 cert. Got turned away.
Went a couple of days later and got in courtesy of an elderly female on the counter, who I swear was short sighted.

It should have been women and children first.
