He'll often use the nic "Tryweryn" and go by the name of Dafydd or Loulwa (his wife?) Humphreys (or the Welsh spelling of Wmffres) and also Dafydd Gwynedd.

Maybe a new name is required for each new Paypal account...
I'm glad I read this thread. Very helpful in exposing another shady video source out there. My one dealing with Paypal has been okay although it only went to the initial complaint stage, which made the Seller scurry like blazes to send the product. The worst experience I've had is with Half.com in even finding a way to file the claim, let alone get a refund for a sleazy burned bootleg sold by Sellers who escalated to rude, profanity. They are still selling on Half.com which tells you how Half does not police its Sellers despite complaint they eventually validate. Half may be under the umbrella of EBay, but they don't offer buyers the same safeguards.

Good luck to all of us buyers out there in the online video jungle. BTW, Bob's has been excellent as was Roger's Hill's Nothing's New which lost its lease, alas. Is Nostalgia Video really that bad in quality? I haven't ordered from them but was considering it.

I've bought a few from Nostalgia Family Video over the years and have never had any problems with the quality. Or do you mean a different Nostalgia?

Hi, Steve,

No, it's Nostalgia Family Video. I picked up the negative comment from an earlier post so I had to ask. Glad to hear NFV is okay. Personally, I am happy to have a list of good video sources and honestly disappointed to delete one.

All the best,

Barbara

I was the one who mentined Nostalgia Family Video. At the time I believe they were carrying the What A Carve Up DVD but they are not selling it currently. The What A Carve Up! DVD released by JEF films is a bootleg but is still carried by the likes of Movies Unlimited and others. Their (Jef) DVDs are described all over the internet as being very poor quality bootlegs that carry the price of an official release. I suspect some better distribution companies pick up these films by mistake.

I believe they are now $20.00 which includes s/h in the States but less for multiple orders. Best to check before you order. I can say from past experience that if they send a film that is not clear, they will correct it. The thing is they have a lot of out of print titles including Brit films not available elsewhere in the US at least.

I notice that I could no longer find the site on Google UK and the titles I listed before have gone.

I do notice that The Runaway Bus is in their catalogue. I bet Graham Betts would be interested to learn that, he could then notify Val Guest's estate. Home Vision would be interested to learn about the bootlegs of A Kid for Two Farthings, on top of the owners of all those other films.
