That "trailer" for The Molly Maguires is not the original three minutes cinema trailer from 1970, which I ran in February, 1971, but looks like one made up for a US television showing years later.

You're not wrong Darren, as it mentions Connery's Oscar

Early scenes in the Vincent Van Gogh bio,Lust For Life, and the scene in Young Winston, feature mines

The CFF Serial The Mystery In The Mine (1959) and Catherine Cookson's Tilly Trotter (1999) also featured Mines extensively.

Sam (1973) with Kevin Moreton and Michael Goodliffe, also featured mines...in this case, in the Yorkshire coalfields of the 1930's.

No mention yet for The Price of Coal? A two parter in the BBC's "Play for Today" series. Back when they used to do proper dramas on TV

Based on the Barry Hines novel of the same name. It's a good read and a well made TV drama.

The first part is to do with all the preparations for a Royal visit to the mine. All the nonsense about tidying everything up, painting the coal white ( ) etc.

The second part takes place soon after the first and there's an accident in the pit. That shows the true price of coal

Last night's episode of Cranfold had Jonathan Pryce running a salt-mine.

Default Films and TV Programmes featuring Mines

Black Silence, an episode of A Mind To Kill, was set in a mining town and the climax took place down a mine.

Dr Blood's Coffin featured a disused Cornish tin mine where a mummified person is bought back to life and has a punch-up in the mine.
