OK, I'd better get a couple of cases of the stuff in!

I saw some at a car boot sale recently, a Hai Karate gift pack from the 1970s, brand new! I remember it from the TV ads but I can't recall ever having used any (my success rate with women as a youth was pretty abyssmal so I'd have needed bucket fulls of the stuff). Back then it was quite popular but I think Brut 33 was more so, along with Tabac! Later on the more expensive stuff was the thing to splash your face with; Aramis, Paco Rabanne and Kouros, which became the after shave of choice for Cortina driving reps throughout the land!
I remember in the RAF abroad in some remote part of the world when someone died and there was no proper mortuary on the base, the body would often be kept in the walk-in meat fridge and was always liberally doused in Old Spice to keep it smelling fresh until it could be shipped back home! Consequently the smell of Old Spice has always been associated with death!
