Has nobody mentioned the feature 'Love Thy Neighbour' (1973 spin off of the TV series) yet???

I don't know about you, but I remember when 'Love Thy Neighbour' first came on TV... It was thought somewhat ripe for both its racism and language. Probably not as politically incorrect as it is viewed today... but still somewhat ripe.

Yes, the Dark Skinned fella tended to win out... but he was just as racist as the white guy.

It was intended to be somewhat close to the edge.

The main problem with it, IMHO, was that it wasn't very funny.

I always thought, in the main, that it was really a 'battle of the sexes' comedy where the wives often showed that BOTH men were being stupid...
