Silent movies - Britmovie

Hi
I need to be able to watch very old films (eg. 1903 - Edwin Porter, Cecil Hepworth)and have been looking at movie download sites. However, they all require you to join before even seeing what's available. As they probably don't have what I want, I don't want to waste my money!
Does anyone know a download/viewing site that specialises in old silent movies?

britishsilentcinema.com organize such event to promote interest in British cinema before 1930, you could be part of this, check out their official site and also the silent film webring; British Silent Cinema - Broadway Cinema Nottingham UK - about the festival
