I seem to remember Barry Foster piloting an Amphicar in Inspector Clouseau.

It's got to be Straw Dogs!

I remember the Stag in that flick well - if only because it appeared to have had an ugly great bodywork patch on one of the front wings.

Did the film have more than one? For example a blue one, a red one and a white one?

For the tv series there is a clue in Smudge's previous 'cars the star' posts, put that together with the clue in all of Steve Crook's and there you have it.
The film clue is 'he bumped into Ben Fogle's mum and saw more than one of Batman's enemies.

THE JOKERS

Also seen at the start of Roger Moore's CROSSPLOT.

And wasn't there one in CATCH US IF YOU CAN ?

Perhaps a Cliff Richard film too ? WONDERFULL LIFE maybe, or FINDERS KEEPERS ?

All are right with the Amphicar, the other film being 'Rotten to the Core'

However here is a clue for the childrens' series.

The star of this is worth far more than half a penny.
