Also between Barbara Hershey & David Carradine in Scorsese's Boxcar Bertha (1972). In interviews, both Hershey & Carradine have said it was for real.

Likewise Kim Novak and Richard Johnson in the filming of "The Amorous Adventures of Moll Flanders" (1965).

SAILOR WHO FELL FROM GRACE... unless we adopt the Bill Clinton definition of "that's not sex", although I prefer to believe in his chivalry rather than his honesty.

NOT necessarily. I remember the story that either Britt Ekland or Maude Adams replying to the diminutive Herve Villineuve expressed intention to make love to her, whilst on the set of "The Man with The Golden - eh - Gun".

Which ever Bond girl it was is meant to have replied "If you do, AND I FIND OUT - you're in trouble, Herve!"

Now Mickey Rourke - is anything of his, his Nik Naks perhaps, "Golden"? or is that JUST David Beckham?

The scenes between Billy Bob Thornton and Halle Berry in 'Monster Ball' certainly looked near the mark.
It was a little off-putting though because I kept on thinking - what would a beauty like Halle Berry possibly see in a guy like Billy Bob?
Then again he was married to Angeline Jolie at one time .

Dave.

Film stars have body doubles for stunts which would put them in danger. How about real stars have sex doubles - people in real relationships - to enact their copulation scenes.

This isn't a spurious query, because 20 years ago when such blantantness was not legally allowed in Britain, whilst abroad I saw an awful blue movie which had two actors playing the same part. One, a weedy guy who presumably could act - well talk more like but when they cut to the supposed lovemaking scenes, hardcore as well, it was obviously a different person completely. Different skin colour (tanned I guess - and what was shown you couldn't mistake he was tanned ALL OVER) and the second guy had muscles too. It was like having Woody Allen and Governor Schwartzenegger in a blue version of "Twins" - only their "mother-f****r" could tell them apart!

The interchange between bonking and talking was not the least bit sexy but it was VERY funny.

I remember going to see a film in 1971 ( lord knows what it was called!) which did the rounds of cinemas purporting to be a serious "documentary" on sexual matters. There was one filmed scene of a couple in the act of copulation bouncing up and down, grunting, groaning and bellowing shouts of triumph at the climactic moments which had most of the audience (including yours truly) rocking with laughter.
There was also a quite explicit gay sex scene ( minus orgasms) in "A bigger Splash" (1974) which I saw in one of the smaller (but legitimate) London cinemas.
Interestingly, when "A Bigger Splash" was broadcast on TV the scene had been replaced by a far less-"blatant" one.

Most people know about erstwhile husband & wife Alec Baldwin & Kim Basinger going at it in
that crumby remake of The Getaway...I could mention certain lessor lights who "did it" "for real" in mainstreams movies, but I'm sure if you care you know already.
It's blase by now (all over the Internet, predictably) --Chloe Sevigny going down (no inhibitions for this Oscar-nominee!)on a mortifying bored-looking Vincent Gallo.
There's a French "feminist" revenge flick called Trois I think, I haven't seen.
A new one called Shortbus I did -unfortuantely- watch.
I prefer the 1928 version of The Woman and the Puppet (remade as Devil is a Woman and That Obscure Object of Desire) --that has full nudity of the star, albeit no contact with men of course. Far more erotic than the gyrating, sucking contact of modern movie, faked or "real".

Mention above both "puppet" AND Alec Baldwin, I think Team America should get an honorary mention.

That actor guy who joined the Team in the film - what was his name again? - Oh yes, Scott Plank - from the film "L A Takedown(your underwear)" the original of the Mickey Manly's "Heat Her Up - Take Her Down" with Val (I'm Your Huckleberry!) Kilmore people.

Oh yes, Scott Plank, had a real "woody" in that sex scene in "Team America" with that very plain tree girl (looked a bit like Leslie Ash before the pout). Wooden performances throughout though.
