Hi Christine
et al,
I fancied bump-starting this thread again - it's about time!
(Sorry!)
Your
Grand Tour plot was resurrected /ripped off by the US TV movie
Thrill Seekers (also known as
Time Shifters) in which an eponymous future travel company sends tourists back to disasters such as the Titanic and the Hindenburg. The time shifting all gets a bit unhinged when a journalist catches on and tries to prevent a forthcoming disaster.
Surprised not to see another US TV movie in this thread (unless I missed it) -
Timestalkers, which starred Klaus Kinski, Lauren Hutton and William Devane. Remember seeing it quite a few years ago on British TV. That's a gap in my time travel collection, so if anyone has it, I'd be happy to trade
(sorry, I know it's not a Brit movie!).
The I Inside was mentioned - enjoyed that: it was much darker and serious than many of the time-shift films (which often seem to be played rather tongue-in-cheek) - reminded me a bit of
The Jacket for that, another that's not yet been mentioned.
Any more recommendations?
Pip
