HELP! Assignment on a Producer/Production... - Britmovie

Hi all,

I've recently joined a screenwriting course, and one of our first assignments is to undertake a Case Study on a particular project, and look at how it was developed - Basically to analyse how the whole project come about.

We are to focus primarily on the legal, business and financial dimensions of the project, as well as the creative aspects. We were informed that the best way to go about this would be to conduct some primary research with the people involved in the project (by email or telephone), as well as looking at existing published material. I've tried to look at "Dog Soldiers", "28 Days Later", "Children of Men" and other movies, but haven't had any luck getting a hold of a Producer.

Does anyone on here have contact details (email or telephone?) for a Producer of a recent feature film/TV series? I promise not to take up much of their time! Just a couple of emails would be great.

The Case Study will not be published, and will only be viewed by the other people in my class. Obviously I'm more than happy to forward a copy to anyone interested in seeing it when it's finished. The limit for this assignment is a mere 1500 words.

Find a recent film with an audio commentary by a screenwriter and glean the information (on drafts, finance, greenlighting) from that.
