Hi All,
Hi All, if there are any Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers fans amongst us don't waste your money on the REGION 2 Astaire & Rogers Volumes 1 & 2 they are rubbish. Treat yourself to the region 1 versions, the quality is 10 times better and the Black & White is brilliant not grey and white, plus there are some little gems of extras on the region 1 versions also, nothing worth bothering about on the region 2 versions all the best Chris |

Yeah, I bought this from Play.com recently for £17.99, which I thought was great for both volumes.
However, the first film I put on was Top Hat, and I got a really annoying flashing strip across the top of the screen that impaired my enjoyment enough that I switched it off. I look at the R1s with envy - the gorgeous cover artwork, for a start. |

As with all RKO titles, Universal have the rights in Europe but do not have access top master materials as Warner Brothers own the rights in the US. this is why some region 2 versions of Warner Brothers box sets have titles missing from their region 1 counterparts.
As Fred and Ginger have nothing to do with British film, this is OFF TOPIC. |
