In the past month, because of Rattigan's "Why P&P" thread, I've been watching and re-watching the P&P films. always with the original excuse of "studying them". Then I get lost in them and forget to study them along the way, and that usually prompts a relatively quick 2nd-Viewing and even a 3rd.
And each time, I forget the details because I like the stories. But when I plug them in, I am reminded, "Oh yes, look at how rich the photography is!" or "Oh look - how rich the colorings or shadings are." Once the story gets me involved, however, I stop the mental note-taking (I guess my peabrain gets filled too quickly!) and end up being too absorbed.
"Wow - when did the house burn down around me?"
