Default Which cars have been the coolest both on TV and the big screen?

Some will of course say Astons...: however, there have been hundreds of others. My preferences are for Simon Templars Volvo P1800 or the later Jensen Interceptor favoured by Simon Dutton. However I love the much earlier Citroen Tractions used in From Russia with love for the scenes in Istanbul and in the chase scenes from To Catch A Thief.

Any takers for Del Boy's Reliant?

Had to be Lewis Collins RS2000. Most other detective cool cars were sheds that handled like a bag of nails. (apart from Danny Wilde's Dino)

Default Not British but.................

It has to be The Gen'rel Lee' from The Dukes of Hazard.

A car with no doors and Catherine Bach!!

.....You couldn't hear it, if they were shooting at me with howitzers!

Yes, an excellent choice too...perhaps not as stylish as some, but very cool. I remember thinking at the time that the protruding/sloping front grille was very cool in itself.

Good call Bats ! A car for a PROPER detective who wanted to mingle with the crowd and just do his job...

My uncle had three IMPS in succession ; the last one died near the Welsh coast in the mid 1980s. But it was such a sunny day that we walked/hitched back to the Midlands.

We must've been

SMUDGE

The Baron drove a Jensen CV-8 not an Interceptor.

Did you know that ST's car should have been a Jag, however they refused to let them have one, but Volvo gave them one of theirs - great British programming, crap British management - ain't that always the truth?

Personally I loved the Volvo and Danny Wilde's Dino. Prize for worst TV action mans car: Doyle's Escort. And believe it or not I posted this without seeing DB7's earlier post.
