no, dont do that.
I know it's a foreign film but I always seem to get intelligent replies on this Board. So here goes....
I'm all for a film that challenges the viewer ( I've sat through quite a few including Primer! ) but at the end of this film i was just frustrated. It was as if the director thought " I've got a nice little slow-Boiling Revenge Plot here...what can i do to prove that i'm artsy. "
Its a shame as Daniel Auteil turns in another Good performance - its a shame he isnt better known outside France.
Not as Dire as "Bonbon el Pierro" ( spelling probably wrong! ) but frustrating after a rave review, Maybe i should swear off foreign films?
no, dont do that.
when I have the energy I will put forward an intelligent argument as to why you shouldnt swear off foreign films.
I love French films, especially the old gangster ones.
Saw Hidden after the Press described it as one of the great new films. I am afraid not for me it wasn't, I found it tedeous, slow and I kept on waiting for "something" to happen, unfortunately the titles appeared before anything did.
Hugely overrated and really not worth seeing.
