Batman, you are sentenced to the punctuation punishment!

Start every day with a smile and get it over with.

It wasn't me who started the thread, DB7's your apostrophe villain! I was just havin' a laugh with Mr Crook.

Note: 3 correct uses of said punctuation.

Not when there's more than one of them
Although it's the same character they are different portrayals so I think they warrant the plural

How many I only count 3

The appearance of the aberrant apostrophe is often known as the "Greengrocer's apostrophe" because you often see signs like Apple's - only 20p each

It is also erroneously seen in things like the 1960's

The one that used to fool me was in a sentence like The car had burst it's tyre. because it seems that it should be a possessive. But it's should only ever be used as an abbreviation for it is.

Even though the film is a little odd, I found that Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck in Shadow of the Vampire was a particularly fine performance.

I see, so the fact that I had nothing to do with the errant punctuation qualifies as an excuse. Glad you're not my lawyer!

Is 'onscreen' really a word? Surely it should be 'on screen', or even 'Draculas On The Screen'.

Bats.

You bet! I've been a fan of Ed Wood since I was 15 (thanks to Michael Medved's Golden Turkey Awards book, which truly changed my life), and I'm now 42.
