Default Choosing films

When new films come out for release what makes you want to see them is it Description ie: sounds good, the actors that is in them wether you like the content of the film or not, i have seen some films with actors that i love and have watched them soley because that paticular actor is in them and found them rubbish..Does anyone do the same.

I generally pick films to see by the director...if I find a movie I like then I will go to see the directors other films. As you say, I am not sure going to see something because so-and-so is in it is always successful, they aren't the ones calling the shots so the quality of films can vary wildly.

I follow the work of certain directors but the majority of my dvd rental waiting list are recommendations from others. (also any film with Tom Hanks is avoided)

All my nephews and neices love Tom Hanks because they remember him in "Big" (was that the title?) That was not a bad film cos he made that before he got very famous and pretentious. The most hateful Tom Hanks film has got to be "The Terminal" it is absolutley awful and made me want to put my boot through my TV set.....grrrrrrr and as for the DaVinci Code? its already in the bargain buckets of various stores for about £3, but it aint even worth that! I would agree that his presence in films tends to mar my enjoyemnet of them somehwat.......oh okay, I hate him too!!!!

I am not a Hanks fan but I did enjoy Road to Perdition.

I pick films manily by genre. I love crime films/thrillers (from the 40s/50s especially), westerns, old horror films (30s/40s) and swashbucklers. I tend to avoid comedy except for particular faves like Laurel and Hardy and Will Hay. I like to get classic TV, especially if it has been produced on viedotape, and most of the ITC stuff.

Bats.

"Boom boom a baby .... Banham Zoo .... Banana pants! Hahahaha"
