I won't make a list 'cause it would go on and on. The Yanks have always been particularly adept at getting us snivelling of course.

I saw Tim Burton's "Big Fish" recently and the ending just completely takes you by suprise.

And "Old Yeller" is to be avoided if you have a soft spot for doggies.

Ah Yes, the Soviet Union. All them wheatfields and ballet in the evenings

'Casino Royale' - the torture scene... enough to bring tears to any blokes eyes - lol.

Actually, I don't cry at movies... really. Though I have had to restrain myself in the past sometimes during 'Surprise, Surprise' on TV. My Mum often cried during animal movies. Sometimes I wish I was more tearful... I hardly ever cry.

A lot of great teary films in here. I'd forgotten TRULY MADLY and the power of the departure scene in ROMAN HOLIDAY, how poignant that was. Just perfect. AMOLAD, of course.

Not a film but I found the last episode of "Life On Mars" very moving first time round.

At the age of 8 I sat through a TV broadcast of "Whistle Down The Wind" which left me very upset. I'm now in my 40s but have never seen it again, nor do I intend to!

I was madly in love with Hayley Mills as Gillie when I was a small boy .... I used to cried myself to sleep when my Mum told me she wasn't a 'real' person and couldn't come to play at our house.Bats.

"Carousel" the ending when Gordon Macrae has to go back to heaven and he walks away and looks back at Shirley Jones and the congregation singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" !! its so OTT and hollywood but it gets me every time and its making me weepy just thinking about it!!
And funnily enough Brando, in Last Tango in Paris when he is by his wifes coffin unleashing some heavy thoughts, man, that is too much emotion to handle!
And Brando again in Mutiny on The Bounty, this time being OTT but that death scene at the end just gets me everytime as well, when he is lying shivering under a sheet having been badly burned trying to retrieve the sextant and the others are standing around looking totally shell shocked and grief stricken.......
And....Samantha Eggar's speech to Richard Harris at the end of the court case in "The Molly Macguires" she has fallen in love with the infiltrator and informer Harris and is crushed to learn of his true motives and how he has dashed her hopes of escaping from the grim coalfields....its very moving and makes me want to jump into the screen and smash the Harris characters face in for being so heartless!!

Oh charming.

I'd think of something more witty by way of reply... but for some reason I have a bout of hiccoughs for the frst time since I was a child... and it is becoming progressivly more irritating... I'm even missing keys while typing!!!

Grrrrrrrrr.

Oh and I go to the gardening centre that covers the lawn in foam before mowing it with a razor
