Excellent film, as Harbottle said, it's JM at his best, and that ending .... it's so good it could only be true!

Yes to the first question, and if it is out on DVD,then yes to the second question. A remarkably true story, with an entertaining delivery by all concerned.

A great film! I saw it when it was first released (circa 1955) and many times over the succeeding 10 year period.

I saw it again about 18 months ago here in the USA. First time that I'd seen it again in about 40 years! The version I saw here in the USA had a different ending! Same overall result, but not nearly as dramatic as the original ending.

In any event, it's based on a true story, well worth buying with either ending!
