Interesting point. One of the most effective scenes in a any film I have seen recently was in 'Love and Human Remains'. The main plotline in this was a lesbian relationship. A young woman had left her husband and was having a relationship with another woman.

In the scene in question the husband (who was distraught by her leaving him, and knew nothing of her new romance) tracked her down to the caravan where she was living. He was really excited about seeing her and wanted a fresh start. He looked through the window before knocking on the door to see the two girls embracing. New girlfriend then left to leave the wife alone, and very happy. The husband entered the caravan and just looked at her .... with his eyes and face, the actor conveyed feelings of hurt, loss, anger, betrayal, sorrow and frustration in probably less than 60 seconds of screentime. Her face showed fear, despair and guilt. Not one word was said, and then he left.

Superb acting.

Not me. I'm always making them. The last of the old romantics, that's me. The difficulty is finding people that appreciate them

I haven't seen that one, but that's exactly the kind of thing I mean!

They don't have a chance to run if they aren't there to begin with

I've just watched an incredibly romantic tv show tonight - an old Buffy episode. It was so touching and delicate in a way the Love, Actuallys only strive for. Also Dr Who has it's moments.

Are you serious Buffy please, i thought this was a load of drival and as for romantic gestures in Buffy would you fancy someone with large fangs and attitude.
