Off the top of my head I'd include:

Zazie dans le métro (1960 Louis Malle)

    Grand Meaulnes, Le (1967 Albicocco)

    Daisies (1966 Vera Chytilova)

    The Committee (1968 Peter Sykes)

Last Year at Marienbad (1961 Alain Resnais)

From Tarkovsky - The Mirror and Stalker

    Robert Altman’s Three Women

plus from TV the wonderful Penda’s Fen (1974 Alan Clarke)

I second John Hodson for Night Of The Hunter and Ican for Last Year At Marienbad. I'd add Fellini's Juliet And The Spirits and Walerian Borowczyk's Blanche.

I'd also like to recommend, Kusa-meikyu (The Grass Labyrinth). Some of the visuals in this film are some on the most beautiful images I've seen. The use of colour is staggering.
