Don't know if it has been previously mentioned, but The Notebook got me going ridiculously. Didn't want to watch it in the first place but ended up making a fool of myself at the end - when James Garner broke down, I broke down with him.
My god....I don't believe it, something me and Timmy agree on.....
It certainly is a difficult film to get through without a lump in the throat......Studio Ghibli at its best.....
It was actually released in cinemas in conjunction with "My Neighbour Totoro" so that people would not leave the cinema's too distressed.

Neither American nor British, "Schultze Gets the Blues" (2003). It has that human touch to it (the movie won 11 awards).
Saddest ending, "La Bamba" which had me crying a few times.
