    Schalken the Painter - wonderful picture that looks like a Dutch interior throughout, superb acting and very spooky!

    that sounds like 'the mezzotint' by m.r.james,but this has only appeared on tv a couple of times as a reading to camera-the version read by robert powell (bbc 1986) has a few scenes showing the painting when it has changed-does this sound correct?
