    Enjoyed:

A film called 'Watcher in the woods' - I think - with David McCallum.

    'Tron'

A film about a family escaping from East Germany in a hot air balloon??

    ET

I wasn't hugely fussed on the Star Wars films..but went to see them all..

Did not enjoy: Most Disney movies...(Bambi traumatised me..)

'Chitty chitty bang' has to be the film I enjoyed the least - sinister and so long...

(Sorry - in half term mode - not sure my brain is actually wurking...)

Oh great, thankyou..I'm going to get that..I think my son would love it..

Other films...there was a lot of sci fi in the seventies - was that as a result of the moon landing perhaps?

I remember going to see 'Buck Rogers in the 25th century' and pretending to have swishy sliding doors for a while after.

The muppets films were quite good..we've got most of those on tape now..

I was also first in the queue to watch an Abba documentary shown in the cinema..

Essential viewing for all children of the sixties was 'Smiley' and 'Smiley Gets A Gun'. Then out of the blue Smiley (Colin Paterson) became a Bee Gee in 1967

Fantastic films those two ... I loved 'em when I was a kid. In the first one IIRC he tries to get himself a new bike. I never knew Smiley became a Bee Gee. I'd love to see them again.

Colin Paterson was their original drummer in the sixties. When the group split up in 1970 Robert Stigwood made him sign a contract which forbid him from drumming in any other group. He married Brian Epstein's secretary Joanne.

I was totally suprised when I saw 'Smiley' in colour on TCM. To me it will always be black and white.

I remember thouroughly enjpying watching."Firecreek" with James Stewart in a cinema in Bournemouth in 1968. Also enjoyed "The Adventures of Bulswhip Griffin." when it was the supporting film to "The Jungle Book." in the same year.

WatchinG."Spare The Rod." with Max Bygraves for the first time in the late sixties and also,"The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Runner." this also marked the first time that I heard the hymn."Jerusalem." which was sang in school assembly in the fik=lm.
