Everything that has a Movie Connection: Features link recorded for it in the IMDb

e.g. The Lion Has Wings (1939) includes footage from Fire Over England (1937) and Triumph des Willens (1935) [aka Triumph of the Will]

Also everything that has the attribute (Archive footage) recorded by someone's name in a cast list

One of the ultimate examples of this is the Korda The Four Feathers which forms the basis of the 50s remake and stock footage has been used in films as varied as The Master of the World (it alse raided Olivier's Henry V).

Anyone know which b/w film was raided for the shipwreck sequences in Fury at Smugglers Bay (the film uses the sequnce twice and is IMHO the only real low point in that serviceable film).

The opening titles of "The Shining" with aerial shots the car driving through the mountains on its way to the Overlook Hotel is the same clip of film that was tagged onto the ludicrous "happy" ending of "Blade Runner" .

    War documentaries

I don't know who they use to cut & paste the old mono film to match the narrative.

I'm sure in one part of World at War the Japs are advancing on Dunkirk!

The Dam Busters scenes at the end of the film, of the German countryside after the dams have been breached .... sure I've seen that in other films (before? or after? TDB was made ..?)

War documentarys often use material from another event entirely than the one their discribeing, the number of times i seen the footage of HMS Barham rolling over and explodeing , it must have blown up in every ocean on the planet,

always makes me laugh when you see a modernish car go over the cliff and what looks like the botton of a model T ford hit the deck

It makes me smile when they show the black and white Battle of Britain scramble of a squadron of Spitfires on a grass airfield (taking off left to right) but the sound is raucous like Harvard engines.

There were scenes from The Battle Of Britain in the film version of Dad's Army and a mini-series starring David Niven:A Man Called Intrepid.
