'Melody'. About 30 to 31 years. Mark Lester again.
Night Monster - 29 yrs 4 months between my last viewing, and Eyewitness with Mark Lester an incredible at least 30-33 years between viewings - might be a world record?
So what is your greatest length of time between viewings?( remember must be a film you have seen twice )

Tis a long time since i watched that!- although i reckon Eyewitness is still longest for me.
BTW Mark Lester is starring in a new film 1066![]()
Not necessarily my own longest time between viewings, but what about the Michael Powell short film Smith (1939)?
It had its première at the Houses of Parliament on 28 June 1939. But that was only to an invited audience. It didn't get a public screening in this country until 15 October 2004, a mere 65 years after it was made!
It was made to promote a charity for ex-servicemen who had fallen on hard times. In June 1939 it was suddenly not thought to be a good idea to highlight the troubles that ex-servicemen could run into. They wanted everyone to join up instead

Exactly what I was going to post!
Can still hear the Bee Gees song in my head![]()
I have finally located the video of Sammy Going South, which I saw as A Boy Ten Feet Tall, in the summer of 1967 as a very small boy. It gave me the horrors and was by far the most traumatic experience I have ever had watching a film. I remember the deaths of the boy's parents in Suez vividly, and many other scenes.
I will now view it 32 years later. I am curious about it.

33 years a world record? Alas not - in 1995 I saw the 1925 Ben Hur at the NFT and in the audience was a lady who had been at the British premiere. I doubt if anyone here can beat a 70 year gap between viewings! In fact, at the NFT you quite often get guests who haven't seen the film since the premiere so a 50 or 60 year gap isn't unusual.
Approximately 30 years I'd say for the Hammer horror 'Dr. Blood's Coffin', I vividly recall seeing it late at night at around the age of 12 circa '73 and being too terrified to go to Bed after seeing the Dead man bought back to life and running amok in the Cornish Tin Mine!
I've seen and taped it during this current decade for the first time since, probably '04 or '05 it was on TV once again........it all seems so tame now!![]()
