Supposedly it was a fight in a doughnut shop, which ties nicely into TWIN PEAKS. He felt a bit funny after the fight, went home and died. We probably wouldn't call that murder.
Ramon Novarro on the other hand, THAT was murder!

'Homicide' would probably be a better way of putting it (as on IMDb). I think that covers both murder and manslaughter.

American actor Bob Crane (Hogan from Hogans heroes) was bashed in the head and murdered not with an ice pick but with a film camera tripod! What a fitting if not morbid end for an actor it just rings of "Theatre of Blood"! It could have been worse, he could have been bashed on the head with a heavy pile of his bad reviews......
