I bought the box set of "Fanny and Alexander" about 20 years ago as it was going cheap in WH Smiths, still haven't watched it yet...but I will get round to it.

Shame, as I rate Collinson as one of the really underrated British directors of the sixties and seventies. Sadly, he died young and somewhat out of fashion, frustrated by his typecasting as an action director.

Innocent Bystanders is well worth catching by him, even though Robert Shail slates it in his recent Stanley Baker book, and A Man Called Noon is a pretty good fake Spaghetti Western.

name='smudge']I have LOTS of films still waiting to be watched. I used to mark my lists to indicate what I had watched, but gave up. It only kept telling me that I needed to be retired already to get enough time...LOL

    Smudge

Same here, I've trades scattered about the place waiting to be viewed; some from last Xmas!

I've also unwanted gifts like Ricky Gervais waiting to be despatched to the charidee shop.

Sadly, lots of films and TV series too. Never seem to get enough time before being tempted to buy something else for the collection or pick up another newspaper freebie. But I will watch them all some day ...

Well I do seem to be different from the rest of you.......I can honestly say I've seen every single one of my films at least once (approx 400 titles)
When I get a new film I'll probably get to see it within a few days.....very rare to go a week without seeing a newly arrived film....
    Cheers

I go out too much to be able to watch things as quickly as I would like. And sometimes I forget that I have abandoned a box set part way through then see something on here that reminds me of it! 'Thriller' being one example of that, 'TOTU' another ...

I also bought both these series as complete box sets.
I went through "Thriller" watching 1 a day and really enjoyed the series.
If I hadn't committed to it this way I probably wouldn't have got round to it.
Similarly, I'm working through "Tales Of The Unexpected" watching 1 last thing every night.
I love the fact that I can look forward to this nightly pilgrimage, rather than looking for something decent in the TV schedules!

I have a few thousand films and constantly probably about 500 that I haven't watched. Some of them I've had over five years and still haven't been viewed yet.

It's good to know we're all much the same! What I need is to plan a viewing schedule so I start dipping into sets I have left. I like the idea some of you have of watching an episode a night of something because a/ it forces you to watch all the episodes (I'm a cherry-picker) and b/ it forces you to finish a set!

My plan is to start watching Children of the Stones with my husband soon, and watching Rock Follies on my own. We also need to go back to The New Avengers and I need to press on with the ABC Armchair Theatres. Not enough time in the day is right!
