Have you ever thought of a film that you watched as a child and really wanted to see again and then you discover it again and think what was i thinking what a pile of rubbish and been so disappointed because you waited years in the first place to see it again. One for me that comes to mind is Population Zero starring Oliver Reed watched it many moons ago and when i found it and watched it again i was so disappointed in it. Another one for me although not a Brit movie was The bluebird starring Shirley Temple i loved it as a child and was very disappointed in it whan i bought it.

I remember watching Rentadick many years ago with my mother (she passed away in 1982,so it is pre 1982) and thought it was hilarious,then a few years ago I watched it again.....didn't laugh once.

Probably Norman Wisdom films and a few other slapstick stars (apart from Laurel and Hardy). The sentimentality flew over my head as a child but jars somewhat today.

Captain Scarlett with Richard Greene .... exciting when I was a boy, pretty dreadful now but still good fun.

The first film I ever saw at the cinema ( the South Woodford Plaza.....ah memories ) was Tommy the Toreador with Tommy Steele - he sang Little White Bull. I haven't seen it since but would love to if only to see what my response would be so many years later. Hopefully a glow of nostalgia would disguise the fact that it is almost certainly complete rubbish...
