I absolutely agree with that.....

He's made 34 films already apparently, according to a profile on him last weekend, headlined, "I might be a thug, but I'm a rich thug"

I have to say that, apart from the gratuitous 'Punching Scene', 'Mean Machine' was almost childishly 'moral'. Vinnie's persona clearly gains from that whole WimbledonFC-as-underdogs-made-good zeitgeist. One of the few examples of a group taking on the 'system' and winning. Difficult to see such a thing ever happening again in the corporate world of the Premiership.

True and I don't know is the answer.

Yes but when you look back even 20 years ago films that were 18 then are now rated 12 and 15, some of the things that they rate suitable for 12 and 15 year olds are more for 18 year olds and very violent it also goes for the games kids buy which have them killing knifing and stabbing someone so are we learning ouir children by letting them play such violent games and watching violent DVD's. Some parents would get an 18 DVD out to rent and watch it with their children so really is there a way to stop it in short NO.

Living in the Wimbledon area ...
There was a piece in the local paper last week with Dave Beasant saying exactly the same thing. Dave was the captain of Wimbledon in '88 at the height of their time as "The Crazy Gang" and he was the first goalkeeper to captain an FA cup side and the first 'keeper to save a penalty in an FA cup when they beat Liverpool. Pretty good for a team that had only been playing professionally for just over 20 years. Was Alan Hansen always grumpy? He was especially grumpy after that win by Wimbledon

In the article, Dave (currently goalkeeping coach at Fulham and Northern Ireland) said how such a team, and such team spirit would be impossible in the way things are set up at the moment with most of the players in the top teams hardly ever seeing each other apart from on match days
