You're right Merton...

I live in Michigan in the USA.

Actually I have solved my problem several fold!

I have a couple of Sony players that the 'code hacks' work on, I can stream video to my TV from my PC, or just watch on PC which is most of the time the best solution, as it gives me screen cap capabilities!



It's ok to keep the thread going if it helps anyone else, but I got my answer very quickly!

I have had an NTSC recorder for some years and I use it to burn DVDs to send to my friends in the States. It has worked perfectly for some years but you need to have a converter to turn the PAL signal into NTSC. These are reasonably cheap.



My recorder has just gone on the fritz and I would like if anyone can tell me where in the UK I can buy a dedicated NTSC recorder preferably wit ha hard drive
