HP Deskjet 6540 Question

I just purchased and installed two new HP cartridges and a test page printed automatically but I can't get the printer to print out anything else how do I fix this? This is like the first time it's happened.

I had a nightmare with a HP Printer. I didn't have that problem, but practically everything else. The software was defective, I didn't receive the replacement, and when they sent me a second replacement it was outdated software. Good luck if you call customer service. You'll need it. Be prepared to say, "Pardon me?" a lot because of the Indian accents.

One time a few years ago I had to call HP tech support and went through what you described. I mean, all I did was replace the ink cartridges, both the color and black and white because they were both on empty. How peculiar it shouldn't work..

I did a cartridge alignment and that seemed to do the trick. Thanks anyways for your help, Will.
