    I just had a notification from my Norton security system that my computer

    has been infected by Tidserv Activity2. Any advice anyone please?

    Backdoor.Tidserv Removal Tool | Symantec

    Symantec have a removal tool at the above link
    after that go get malwarebytes and run a full scan

    Norton...not the best these days, if I were you I'd look at Avast or Microsoft Security Essentials. I now run MSE on all the machines on my home network and laptops and its saved my bacon a few times. Malwarebytes is good so is superantispyware.

    I always found Norton very Intrusive and Haven't used it for years...I have used Avast for a few years now and it has never let me down........

    I've only recently renewed my Norton account but thanks for the advice I'll certainly look into your suggestions when it expires!
