They used a DVD projector to screen A Canterbury Tale for 500 people at Canterbury Cathedral in September. That was back projected onto a screen that was about 20 feet high.
It was superb and even the people at the back said they had a great view. For those of us up front we saw things in it we've never seen before. But not everybody has as much room as there is in the nave of the cathedral ![]() Steve |

I bought my daughter a projector/screen set up for Xmas. I have to say the quality is superb, the screen is 8'x4' and the colours and black level are outstanding. It is true that you will need a dark room to get the best from it, and also that you will to a certain degree get what you pay for, but i bought a £500 Epson projector and a £100 Screen and spent up quite big on a Denon surround system with Yamaha speakers.....All that can be said is that my 13 yr old daughter loves it, and so do all her mates!
All the best, Chris. |
