Question Cheapest dvd player that plays dvd-r ?

I bought one of those tesco value dvd players for my father about a year ago.
It works fine, but struggles to play virtually all the dvds i've burned for him on dvd-r format (though occasionaly it works!). The fault is mine, because it does actually state in the docs that it only plays dvd+r, but i've now burned loads of stuff for him in the -r format, including various old vhs that he can't watch.

So, can anyone recommend a similarly cheap replacement, that categorically states (and plays) the dvd-r format....?

Cheers, Aaron

My son bought me a Yamada from Amazon a few years ago for £30. It's multi-region and it plays everything I put in it.

Of course, by 'everything' I meant everything in the way of DVDs!

Don't ever ask the Dame a question which features the words 'put' and 'in'.

Actually, I was just getting in first before somebody else made a rude comment; but it backfired on me!
