Anyone know how to convert a FLV File so that I can burnt it onto a DVD ? or know of a program that will do it at all

I would appreciate in layman's terms.Thanks

If you use TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 (or a similar app probably).

So long as you have the Wimpy FLV player installed and an up to date free ffdshow codec pack, TMPGEnc DVD Author 3 with DivX Authoring can open edit and produce mpeg 2 or DVD (or DivX or other formats) from FLV files.

Use it regularly for this, use the all files option (*.*) to open the FLV, big advantage is they can be edited easily with the app, for example you can insert clips into other video you might have.

I use Axara Video Converter, mainly for online videos for websites and such, but it works with FLV as well. :) I haven't had any problems with it, and it's very easy to use.

I have KLite mega codec pack,and among others, use DVD Flick to convert files and burn to DVD disk.

I am trying some of those programs out and see which is the best for me,do any of those listed above have watermarks on them when converted to dvd ?.

Flick doesn't, but then it's freeware unlike some others that claim to be.

I'm a bit of a Youtube freak and I wonder if you have this downloader. If you keep it updated, it always works (so far). Downloads as flv, avi and mpeg. Others if you pay and also other sites if you pay.

Hope I'm not teaching you suck eggs, because I myself know very little in effect.

Another piece of handy freeware I've been using is this converter, which extracts mp3 files from most of the common video formats flv avi mpeg wmv etc.
I've been taking YT vids and making audio CD's . Dead easy to use, but best to keep to one file at a time to avoid probs in my experience so far.

Best stop now and let the experts take over!
