Default Old On Digital Box

I have just hooked up an old On Digital box (Philips) to an even older television set and made an RF connection because the TV has not Scart socket. I was surprised to find that the only Freeview channels I can get are
BBC3
BBC4
BBC 24 NEWS
and about three others.
Is this all the old box is capable of today, or should I try to run some sort of upgrade on it? Any suggestions, please. Thanks.

You may need to search for channels - click on the "Menu" button on the remote and you should see a "search channels" or "find channels" option. I don't see any reason why an "on digital" box should fail to find the current freeview channels, assuming that they are using the same frequency range for transmissions as "on digital" did.

Best wishes

I've been using an old Pace Ondigital box up until very recently and it worked fine - picked up all the channels more modern boxes do. It was quite tricky to get into the menu though for some reason. As to getting these channels via RF, i think that depends on the box.

I'm still using an old Philips On Digital box for Freeview - works fine. I agree about the probable need for finding channels.
