Default Firefox 3

Launch day today!
I have just installed it, and though I haven't done much so far, I've noticed that all the little Firefox problems that have been irritating me recently have disappeared, and it seems to be less memory-hungry than 2. Quicker too.
My guru advises that Java SE Update 10 Beta should be downloaded for this.

I use Firefox as my browser. I haven't downloaded this version yet. Firefox is much better than IE7 IMO.

I've been using Minefield for a while but can't say it's a great leap forward.

A silly PR stunt has backfired. They wanted to try and create a download record for a 24hr period so encouraged people to download FF3 early doors - and their servers crashed within minutes.

I did not even know there was a Firefox 3 out!!! I have been using FF for years its much better than MSN but I must admit its not been so good lately with lots of niggles and slow at times, I will download 3 as soon as I am able to.

Cheers Marker

Nor did I, and I'm another long-time Firefox user: I'm amazed they haven't been plugging the new release for months!

Have just downloaded it with no problems

That's right. Anyhow I managed to install it today without any problems. It seems a little faster than version 2.
