If you have one nearby the Panasonic@shop is selling packs of 10 Panny DVD-RAM disks for £20, best price I have seen in the High Street. Argos are selling packs of five disks for @£13.

I'm mainly using Verbatim DVD-R too although I have used some of the Datawrite (8x) "Yellows" which seem pretty good, at least I had no burn failures from a drum of 50 and they work out at 20p each.

I used to love the Datawrite “Greys” too pity they stopped using the Fuji dye, I believe they are still being sold but another dye is used and SVP stopped selling them.

I have never used Taiyo Yuden disks either, though I notice at SVP at least, the price difference between these and the Verbatim (8x) is only 3p per disk though you have to buy a tub of 100 TY.

When playing a dvd (usually a non commercial dvd), my screen changes modes (5 modes). It sort of 'blinks' back and forward to the modes you have previously chosen. Another right pain in the butt! It never does it on expensive commercial dvd.

Is there a hint of an solution here?
