Hi all,
When I record from my video player to my DVD via scart I always get a fuzzy bottom border (phnarr Mr Gimlet). Does anyone know how to get over this or does it just come with the scart video to DVD connection territory.
Cheers,
A

Hi M,
No, it's PAL to PAL as far as I'm aware. The fuzzy part isn't very big, just sort of flickers at the bottom of the picture. It's not a big problem just a bit annoying. I assume you don't get this problem?
Cheers,
A

It could be that the tracking on the VCR is slightly out.
Do you get the fuzzy bottom only when recording or when recording and when viewing?

Are you playing a 4:3 picture on a widescreenset perchance ? With the setting on 4:3 ??

Also , what recorder are you using ?

Hi guys,
Thanks for the feedback. It's a Sony video (I'll have to check the model) to Sony GX300 DVD recorder. It only happens when I scart the video to DVD. I can't see the fuzzy edge when just viewing the video via scart or any other line out. I'll check the aspects ratio settings see if that does anything.
Cheers,
A
