Default MP3 Player

My MP3 player, a Samsung YP-U3 which is an easy to use and handily small unit, looks like it's about to expire.

Can anyone recommend a replacement? This cost thirty odd quid when I got it - is it worth the extra for an i-pod?

No - go for a Sony Walkman instead, much better sound and very easy to use. iPlayer compatible too. Check out the reviews

I'd agree with that.

I didn't enjoy having to recode everything with iTunes, even MP3 files so I sold my 2 week old iPod on ebay and bought the Sony.

Although my Samsung has made a miracle recovery (lucikly, as I'm on a long road trip friday and didn't fancy being without my primary sounrce of in-car entertainment), I'll certainly look into the Sony. The amazon customer reviews are far better than the e-series Sony I'd been looking at.

Thanks chaps.
