Default Judders

I recently upgraded to an HD television. I already had a blu-ray player, but since the upgrade it's noticeable that every few minutes the picture on playing back DVDs or BDs "judders" for a second or two. It's become a bit distracting, and I find myself waiting for it now instead of enjoying the film or television programme. Anybody any ideas?

Does your player have a HZ optimisation setting? (ie 50Hz, 60Hz, 100Hz)

If it does I'd suggest checking your TV manual to find what setting it operates on (most likely 60Hz) and sychronise the setting on your player to match.

Thanks, I'll check that.

I had a similar thing happen with my Panasonic, despite it being 1080p. The problem was solved by going into the set-up and turning 'Overscan' to off as well as the 'eco-setting'.
